Created by Northeastern Native American women in the early 1800's, these bags became known as tourist or souvenir beadwork. During that time these bags were a source of income for these women's families. Now these beautiful bags have become very collectible and are considered rare pieces of art,.

A Skookum doll was a Native American themed doll sold as a souvenir item in the early 1900's. They were designed and created by Mary McAboy, a white woman around 1913. Her first dolls had heads made of apples. She started mass producing them with heads of composition. By the 1940's the heads were made of plastic. Production of the dolls ended in the early 1960's. These dolls, although not made by Native Americans, remain very collectible and are associated with Vintage Western Americana

Each charm was engraved with a family member or loved one's name, along with a date or special occasion. They are once again very popular and getting harder and harder to find.
